Who can clone car keys?
My recently purchased Sprinter was only supplied with a single key and I'd like to get a spare.
I can buy blank keys complete with the transponder chip but I can't seem to find a locksmith in Sydney (inner west) that can do the cloning.
Can anyone suggest a locksmith who can do this for Mercedes keys? I called a couple of local shops but they were unable to help.
FWIW, The key is ignition only and not a remote fob.

Some vehicles, the key can be coded by workshops that can plug into the diagnostic terminal of the vehicle, However, others require the key to be coded by the dealer only.
When we bought our 2002 Rodeo recently with factory immobiliser, it only came with one key. Had to buy a new key from Holden, take it to a locksmith to get it cut, then back to Holden to get it coded.Too many projects, so little time, even less money! Are you a registered member? I went to a locksmith, useless, went to Tonkins, a car audio place, no probs at all. It took him all of 30secs, no diagnostic machinery, he just did young person fiddling and said "That's $40 bucks mate"
