Default Uses for an old GPS?

I have an old but good quality GPS, a Garmin StreetPilot III. Unlike a few other GPS's sold now, it has the tracking function which is very handy when you go off road and (I imagine) for marine use. The only problem with it is it is no longer supported for maps but I think there are enthusiast areas on the internet that load there own maps, topographical etc.

Does anyone know if it is still worth using for any purpose?

I would stick it onto one of your Jack planes, then you will be able to plane straight & square

    Default Boat anchor

    Groggy

Most "state of the art" technology turns into boat anchor material at some point in time.
