I have a 13 month old Toyota Aurion, I was surprised today to see corrosion around the battery terminals and the hold down clamp. Simple to clean up but what really surprised me is that the car has a battery that is vented, I haven't seen one of those for a long time. All my company Commodores have had sealed for life batteries fitted for the last decade.

For a country so technically advanced as Japan why not use the latest technology and fit a sealed battery, I suppose that if they can build a nuclear reactor on a fault line on a beach I really shouldn't be surprised.
