    Default How To Clean ?

    Hi To All,
I use an AOC 22" Flat Screen. It gets a fair amount of dust on it & is, I find, hard to clean without getting Smudges on it.
Yes, I know I could put a Cover over it, but that is not what I want.
    At the moment I am using " AF Screen-Clene " N3117.
It is a wettish tissue, but it smudges the Screen badly, which is very annoying.
I have bee told to use a small amount of wet cloth, inside a piece of Panty Hose.

So what do you use or don't you bother ? Is the Panty Hose the way to go.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Wipe with paper towelling soaked in plain water and wiped dry with lint free fabric (I use medical paper towelling however you can purchase lint free cloth from spotlight or an electrical store). I use this method which is cheap and easy on my TV, computer screen, etc, etc.

I've been using one of the standard kitchen microfiber wipes for years, with a bit of warm water and detergent.

    Default The Clean.

    Hi Chaps,
    Thanks for your replies.
The thing is, what you are both using seems OK to me, but does it take away the Smudges, as that is my main concern.
They stick out like you know what.
I was told early in the piece, not to use water on my Flat screen, but there was some kind of Alcohol that was OK, & these Wipes I use had it in them.

    What say you ?.

The alcohol is isopropyl alcohol and can be bought in electronics shops in small bottles for cleaning heads, lasers etc.

For TV screens (CRT) and LCD monitors, laptop screens etc I use plain label baby wipes from Woolworths, which leave the screen damp, then dry with a couple of facial tissues. If that doesn't work I then spray with isopropyl and clean with tissues.

Malb has probably nailed it. I've tried baby wipes before and they're great. You could always try metho as well. We use these these type of wipes in the hospital.

In the end I've used just about everything on my TV and laptop and nothing has affected the quality of the screen. I suppose your trying to get rid of oily type smudges left by fingers etc which is why an alcohol type wipe would be effective.

We have kids, so we use baby wipes for everything - tvs, computers, phones, car windscreens, even tools!
