Ian007's Bowl Auction
Hi all
Ian did me the good grace to visit my studio yesterday and brought his really great bowl with him. You can see it at the really incredible bowl dot com slash raise money for kids with a disability and woodies are all really good guys dot haitch tee emm ell
Just click on the link if it doesn't work for you when you type all that mumbo jumbo in. It is a really good bowl. Then name on the bottom is B Prewet Ian told me who that is because he is a gentleman but I am a bit of an oaf at the best of times so I promptly forgot.
Anyway have a good look it is a very beautiful piece of work.

Fundraiser Bowl Auction.
Steve you beat me to it.
I have asked the Axe Weilding Homicidal Maniac () who asked the Grand Poo Bar (Neil) who has made a decree that it is Ok that I have an Auction for the fundraiser on the forum.
Baz has very kindley donated this amazing White Box Burl Bowl (say that 6 time fast after a few drinks) that he turned for the fundraiser. Thanks Baz (Round of applause please).
This White Box Burl Bowl is 400X65mm.
I asked Studley to do the photos in his studio because of the pro lights ect and they look good dont they.
The Auction is for this Bowl.
The winning Bidder will also have to pay postage. (as normal)
All Bids to be in red like this "I bid $50.00" if you could please
and yes that is the starting Bid
this should make it a bit easier to see where we are at.
Please try not to highjack this thread, yes I know its wishful thinking.
And yes we can all see who the winning bidder is.
The winner will be the highest bidder at 9pm Friday the 28th April SA time
And remember that all proceed from this auction will go to the Modbury Special School for the purchase of gym eqipment for these disabled kids
so with that done here are the pics
Cheers Ian

Some People are like slinky's,
They serve no purpose at all,
but they put a smile on your face when you throw them down the stairs.

You are asking for a good slapping Dusty. I'd give you a reddie but I don't think I'll bother.
To Buy that piece of timber just dry and ready to turn could be $100. Put in several hours turning and finishing to get the cost of item. Then multiply that by 3 to come up with a retail price. I reckon in Adelaide if you could get something like that it would be up to $500. Sell it in Sydney and you would find it on the North Shore for $1200 or more depending on the outlet.
You don't just blow in and say things like DREAMING before anyone knows you. Especially not to someone who is very well known and liked and who is just trying to raise some money for his kids school.
