It was a beaut day. 'Twas warm, 33 degrees & gusty wind, so keeping the tarp down was a challenge 'til we dumped the newfangled tarp grip doovahs & went with the hayband option.
Good to meet the journeyman in his hippie camper, or chippie camper as it had been dubbed.
Andy showed us how to make a turning tool handle, DJ showed off his new cyclone bucket, much gasbagging about woodwork stuff & life in general. BBQ lunch & Rod's chocolate ripple cake was a hit. John's cheese platter was picked at all afternoon.
Attendees in no particular order were Rod (rodent), Fred (crazyscew), Jess, Dave (djfoggin) & son Adam, , David (Calm), Fred (fred.n), John (Grumpy John), Greg (Groggy), Bruce (Kiwibrucee), Iain & Rosemary, DJ (djstimber), Andy (Skewchidamn), Michael (journeyman mick), and the home team Sean (scooter), Emily, Tammy & Josh). Apologies from Ern (rsser), Keith (K_S) & Chris (chrisb691).
Door prize kindly donated by Greg went to Dave Foggin.
Thanks to those who brought timber along for donation to the host's stash ( ) & giveaways, Rod for the choc ripple cake, John for the cheese platter, Fred for the yummo snickers numbers, Bruce for meat & the pancake mix (sorry we didn't get there mate, Mick took one of the mixes with him in the "Hippie Camper" ), Iain for the beers left for Dave & I , Fred for cooking, Andy Rod Jess & Fred for helping set up, Mick Dave & for helping pack up, & anyone else we've forgotten - Thank You too.
We sat around until late last night yakking with , Dave, & Mick, the latter shouting us his yummo chocolate drink.
Cheers..................Sean
