    Mike,

Sorry to see that you have had to sell up, it,s a sad day when it happens.

However it is good to see that you have alternate to occupy your time, I would recommend a ply or glass bot over a tinny if you have a back issue, tinny's pound and are hard in anything other than a mill pond,.

Timber(plywood), and Glass ride softer, and with reasonable swivel seating make for a more comfortable ride and less soreness at the end of the day's fishing,.

    GOOD LUCK with the NEUROSURGEON,

    Jeff

Mike I can't say much more than everyone else has other than there is a fishing section on here a boating section so why drop off at all.

All the best with surgery hope its all good, other wise that fishing gear is going to be sold off too. Need all the power your shoulder neck can haul the big fish in with.

All the best Sheddy in whatever direction your future takes you.

Your good proof of what I always tell my wife. Buying up tools now is a good investment as they can always be sold in the future if needed.

OK, I'll bite! How much and will it come via the outer planets like the yellow beast did?
    Cheers
Not selling it, I just wanted you clean & polish it & see if it still works.

Good luck Mike and let's hope the surgeon can weave some magic. I saw your posts when you started selling up and I was puzzled, but when you described your medical issues I understood.

You were kind enough to send me an adaptor for the dust outlet for my Kapex a couple of years ago - thanks again.
I seem to remember you were in Tassie a few years ago - how come you left?

Best wishes for the future and I hope the fish tremble in fear when they hear you coming.

    Default News is not good

Advanced arthritis of the spine with extensive degeneration in the cervical spine. Surgery pointless. I'm a 60 year old with an 85 year old cervical spine he said. Off to pain management and maybe cortisone until it becomes too tedious. I'll just fish til I can't and then take up knitting

On the bright side bought a new Mercury outboard for the tinny today so that's cheered me up a bit.

Just gotta lose some lard to get the trim right

Cheers and thanks for the kind thoughts everyone.

Not good news about the advanced arthritis but I am sure once you get that bloke out of your tinny you will have a great time with the new outboard!

What there is a knitting section on this forum.

This forum is hugh. If not then maybe you can start a knitting subsection.

    I knit.

Stuck on a train for 5 hours a day, I get sick of reading, listening to music, etc. etc., so one of the activities I rotate through is knitting. I get some interesting looks from folk, and can 'spread out' over the next seat if some yuckyperson looks like they are thinking about sitting next to me.

Using pompom wool, and a modified continental knitting style, I can churn out a scarf a day.

So, Sheddie, my suggestion is to take up knitting *now*, and you can sit in your tinnie and knit whilst waiting for the fish to bite

Best of luck with the surgery!

    Cheers,
    Andrew
P.S. want a scarf to keep the arthritic neck warm??
