I was not actually looking for turning tools, but in hindsight I only recall seeing a couple early in the day. This may not be a real accurate account of what was there because if I am not looking for it I don't really notice it.

    Cheers

It didn't have a price tag on it, and like a Rolls Royce, if one has to ask the price, one can't afford it.

Not quite like that, but I spoke to the lady manning the tables (they had three tables) and with another fella, we at first thought it may have been an ice saw, but the thickness of the steel seemed to be a bit too much. But then again, I haven't sawed ice, or seen anyone sawing ice, since the last time the ice man used to come around on his horse drawn cart. If we didn't quite have enough ice to last until payday, mum used to buy half a block of ice and he would nearly always saw a block in half, while at the same time, he held the ice block with a huge pair of pincers. Great juggling act, we were always waiting for him to drop a bit of ice, I don't think he ever did, but there a few iffy moments every now and again.

Well I got inside only a few minutes after opening, I didn't see much in the way of turning tools at all, save for what I picked up. There were a couple of very small turning chisel kits, but the average length of all of them that I saw, were about 250mm maximum length with the widest roughing gouge being about 10, maybe 12mm in width. I don't think you missed too much. All of the good stuff, presumably, is changed the day before when the association members do their thing.
