Great photo and great part of the world. The colours of the Flinders Ranges are unique.
Nice pub and people in Hawker.
We normally make Hawker our first stop out of Melbourne and then head up to Birdsville although next March/April we'll be meeting in Hawker then to Alice via Oodnadatta and then back across to Birdsville via Dalhousie Springs. It should take 4 or 5 days to cross the desert.
I always try to collect the odd stick of wood to bring home if there's room in the car.- Wood Borer

Very nice part of the world there. Have been to the Pound a couple of times.
We were on our way back from taking a photo like yours one afternoon and a mother with joey hopped out in front of us. When she saw us coming I swear she reefed the joey out of her pouch and threw it at us then bounded off. We were only doing about 40km because it was just on sunset and the roos were pretty thick, so it didn't do much damage.
I've got some river redgum from one of the gorges. Had been cut up for firewood. I made a jewellery box for the wife out of some of it. Beautiful..."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

So next trip to the smoke Im gettin me one of them big 18in suckers oh an bedda give me the credit card hon cause I was told the 10HB table saw is a must have... now buggar of back to sleep"
Anyway welcome and get the ruddy camera cable fixed woman!! You have heard of cattledogs havent you? Its the way the west was won years back then we got computers! Oh I see you have a computer... so as the add says let your fingers do the walkin order online and you will have it in a few days... or weeks depending on the mail truck of course

 I was told not to talk to you.........
Strange, you've been most helpful
I don't need a "bigger" bandsaw, since I only do small craftwork mostly, so if I were looking for an upgrade, what should I look for?
This one is still under warranty, but getting it down to Adelaide is a huge headache
The camera was a gift from the Mother-in-law, early last year, and they had stopped making them at the time, making parts extremely difficult to get. I haven't got the hang of internet purchasing yet.
And FYI I bought the bandsaw, not my husband, which is why he wants to buy me a scrollsaw, Some Macho thing I guess.....
