good sharpening address in Melbourne CBD
Hi all,
I work now in the CBD and looking for a good sharpening shop in the surroundings (where I can walk there basically)
I have a saw blade to sharpen, as well as 2 hand planes blades and a router bits.
Thanks for your help.
hopefully someone knows a good sharpener

I can't help you with the carbide stuff, sorry. But for the plane irons (and chisels for that matter) you should strongly consider doing these yourself. The ability to sharpen these tools on the fly will help you acheive better results on your projects. By this I mean, rather than persisting with a blunt tool, or simply giving up on it because it's not working, you should sharpen in the go and get back to efficient work again.
The basic ingredients for this work can be had very cheaply from Bunnies."Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Hi there,
I have the necessary jigs and stones to sharpen the hand planes and chisels but I never achieve satisfactory results. It is sharp but not to my liking.
My technique is probably not that could I must admit or my jig not the top one although it was $50
Hence I would like to have them sharpen.
