Ryobi forever!!
I bought a ryobi (tradesman) level 12 volt when I got married (wedding prezzie to self) and 13 years later the batteries have finally bitten the dust but the drill still works as good as it ever did which is great. I borrow a friends batteries now and again but I am going to by a new Ryobi Pro 12v as soon as the boss lets me.

If the drill itself is still good, then why not just get the batteries repacked in the Ryobi? Much cheaper option and the new batteries are probably superior to the originals due to new technology.
