The jig would be effective for straight cuts but once I get to places where I might have angles, the mitre saw would help a lot more and get the job done a lot faster. We're installing 150 square meters of Oak in the house (floating floor)in our spare time (the wife and me) and don't really want to walk on cement for more than a couple of weeks. My circular saw is a crappy $50 GMC model, I don't want to overwork it I might need it for ripping planks anyway.
