Jet at the Melb WWS.
Will Jet and Hammer, Felder be at the Melb WWS this Oct? Do ALL stall holders have show price specials? Thinking I'll wait till the show fore I buy my sliding table saw. Up to 5 big ones.
But then I'm gunna have to wait for my Jointer and Planing machines. Oh bugger. That hurts too.
Thank Ye all.

I am just in the process of getting quotes on tablesaw and jointer.
Wanita from woodworking warehouse has indicated that they will be there and their stand will be called JET.
Hope that helps.

be aware that Jet are about to change the import model for Australia.
They are going to stop direct importing from the various suppliers and centralise it in Brisbane I believe.
This should have a positive impact on prices overall, however, it may well mean that we get CE based equipment instead of the variety that we currently enjoy.
So if you want a US model of anything Jet I'd get it sooner rather than latter.

Really? My source was two different newsletters from two different suppliers of Jet tools in SEQ.
One being GPW and the other Northwood tools. I've received them both this week.
I quote....
<start quote>
JET - Change in way Australia is handled
WMH the company behind JET has apponited a new manager (From European operations) to head up a new marketing thrust in Australia. I believe that they will have offices here in Brisbane where all local warehouse operations will commence as soon as the first shipment arrives. I also believe staff have been seconded from the largest importer of JET equipment to manage the local operation, and the warehouse will be located on their premises. </end quote>
So if this information is complete rubbish it was posted in good faith an in accordance with the information that I have.
