    Question rosette cutters

Hi everyone, before you start asking waht am I doing posting at 2am... Im on night shift ...

Just want to know if anyone has had any experience with the rosette cutters from carbatec... I have a few projects in mind that would benefit from this. My main question is what sort of horse power drill press will I need and what is the longevity on the cutters like.

I recently bought a GMC 1/3HP drill press from bunnings and returned it the next day as it was grossly underpowered to run even my plug cutters (kept on stalling, even taking it slowly). Is this normal???

PS will be posting pics of my homemade mini cyclone soon for anyone who is interested (runs off the vacuum cleaner), works surprisingly well and have not used any silicon or other sealant!

I've had to make some for some restoration work. I have a 3/4 hp floor model unit. Hold down the workpiece in a vice and cut it slowly and carefully. I think 3/4 hp is close to minimum.

thanks a lot, I had a suspicion that 3/4 was probably needed. Will get myself a drill press.
