Have searched, Question on mbs 300 and TC12
Hello all, I just found this site about a week ago and it is nice to see that a lot of talk is about machines that are available to me rather than a lot of American brands that I cannot get.
I am in the process of getting a new saw among other things and I have a choice between a TC-12 and a MBS 300. I will not be getting the sliding saw immediately because of space.
My situation is that I can get the MBS for $2500 NZD and the TC-12 for $2635. Searching these forums for these saw I cannot see any direct comparison. It seems that both are very good but I cannot see discussions as to why you may pay more for one over the other.
I believe the MBS comes with a suva guard while the tc12 has the basic one. Is there really a reason to go for one over the other? If not I would probably choose the MBS so I can give my business to a company I know. Its the trupro MBS BTW.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

Both are very good saws. I have a TC-12 and the only issue I have with it is I would like to use a zero clearance insert but haven't yet figured out a way to do it.
The MBS300 is a 10" blade but I guess you knew that.

Hi Groggy, thanks for the reply. The MBS 300 I looked at was a 12" which I should have made clear if it comes in different configurations.
Thanks,
Jason
