    Default Setting up a WDS400

I'll be finished setting up my DC sysyem in a few days so then I will fire up the WDS 400 drum sander.

    2 questions about the sander

    1. The main job is thicknessing veneer to about 1mm.
Is there any way of preventing a booboo and inadvertently lowering the drum into the conveyor?

    2. Is a 4" to 2.5" adaptore suitable for the dust extraction or should I modify the sander to take a full 4" hose?
    Regards, Bob Thomas

Reducing the air flow will REALLY slow the air flow!!!!
I use a reducer 2.5" to 4" reducer on my DeWalt bandsaw & it's next to useless so if you can install a 4" outlet on the machine.
I've got a Carba-Tec 25" WDS & I'll change the twin 4" outlets to 5" when I finish setting up my DC system
    Cheers
