My shed - from the ground up
Well having a look at so many fantastically set out workshops in these forums, I thought I may as well diarise my shed building here and hopefully get some good ideas in the process. Even constructive criticism is welcome.

Harry72 - 33 years old and talking feet. In the metric system it is 21m x 12m X 4.2m high. 15 degree pitch gives me a about 6m at the ridge.
And trust me that's a long way up on the scaffold I made to meet the crane with. Several pairs of underpants required for a good job. The scissor lift is a much better option but not feasible at the time due to the inclement weather. The crane was a 25 tonner so it would get bogged if wet (he was local and reasonably cheap).

Only ever use the dark side in shed sizes for some god unknown reason!....................................................................

New Shed Layout
Here is my proposed layout.
I want to put a mezzanine level over the tool room area extending all the way across. On that level I want to put my timber racks. I want to put the stationery compressor 30CFM in a room under the stairs going up to the mezzanine level (not drawn). Is it going to get too hot? I really want to keep that bugger quiet.
I have placed the bandsaw, thicknesser and jointer in a position where I can handle long sticks. Any alternative scenarios. By the why, there are benches all the way around with cupboards underneath.
God only knows how long this is going to take me to finish.

Boban, How about a finishing room. The bugger of all jobs is shutting down the work area while you are trying to get a dust free finish. Just an idea and there is plenty of discussion on this board about it.

You might also think about putting the dusty in a humpy just outside and in the prevailing lee. This takes the rest of the crap and the noise away from your lungs/ears. Just a thought..thats what I'm gunna
