Stick the rest in the bin.
There has been a few farm bosses the first was an 032 they were a good saw low power to weight but you could get 3 years at about 4 hours a day. This is a guesstimate I wore out one a mate wore out 2 ( this is very good). The 034 was more powerful but when these came out we had wood chippers so saws lasted much longer.

Fix the Stihl. Go to a reputable repairer and wear the expense. Get a good sevice/overhaul and your saw will last you for years.
I've used Stihl saws for over 30 years, and my father for many years before that.
Currently I have 3. An 090 for milling, an 064 for felling and an 026 for cutting.
I cut about 20 ton of firewood a year, and couldn't recommend them more highly.
I stupidly bought a new midweight Husqvarna as an "all purpose" alternative, and bitterly regret it. Never again.
Recently the 090 has had it's first set of rings in 30 years, the 026 has required a new piston, and the 064 hasn't been near a repair shop in its 20 year life.
While I concede that Farmboss saws aren't regarded as "professional" saws (whatever that means), the company has a well earned reputation for quality and longevity.
    Sycophant to nobody!
