Several times Ive asked Q about this and one person has keep on the go with help along the way. Ive had the blades resharpened and just finished cleaning up the bed with rubbing compound and old 120 g disc on the festo sander.
Now I think that the rest of the body shold have the same treatment. Not wanting to strip it all down how do you clean the nooks and crannies of your machines. This is very heavy with built up dirt from before my time.

    Hi Tonto...

If you have a compressor you can get an inexpensive kero gun and spray it with kero/turps/hot soapy water/whatever cheap solvent you can find. It's surprising how much gunk this treatment will remove. After you blast it dry with more air you can decide if it wants more restoration.

Ideally you could get it bead blasted and re-sprayed, but the $$ quickly adds up if you have to pay retail for those things.

I have used Diesel with good results mainly as a degreaser for car parts with some exceptions such as brake parts, carby parts and the like, as it leaves a light oily residue.

A word of caution ANYTHING WITH BENZINE IS A KNOWN CARCINOGENIC SO WEAR THE RIGHT PROTECTIVE GEAR!..
