Nice Slabs. Are the rest of the logs blackwood?
Looks like a narrow sap band and good colour.

Steve, is that big for Tassie blackwood, or average diameter? That would be huge for blackwood around here (in my experience at least). I was told it falls over before it can get that big here. Also a darker, richer colour.

I have been milling blackwood myself this week so I took a couple of pics for a comparison.
This log was 68 cm centre diameter. No where near as big as you get in Tassie but still a good size.
