should be plenty of developers down by u they are wiping the sides of the logan motorway bare.
and yes selling the imber is the hardest part. ill have a chat to a few mates. one ownes the big red shed and another is an exsawmiller that has plenty of contacts and see what they reckon.
you could always put adds in the weekend shoper and the like for sawn timber. and contract work is a good way to get some extra cash when things are slow.
sigid - have you offerd to buy the logs. the current price is around $80 - $130 /cube depending on species and size. i have had to do this a few times to secure good logs.

Now there is some positive,
Others have said they have turned work away so obviously there is a capacity and it seems to have potential. My idea is with developers to provide landscaping timber for their development purposes, furniture potential and slabs are cream type income.
Maybe I'm dreamin' but there is something here I reckonPerhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

Absolutley Barnsey, the big thing is to get the developers to give it a go.
I'd happily set up in a development at ht eclearing stage and mill to a list for the developer to use in the development down the track, just seems sensible, practicle, ecological and viable.I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
Allan.
