    Default Bandsaw Details

    Hi,
Thanks for all the Interest in the Bandsaw, It was hard to find the info and design it but I have learnt a lot in the process. I am happy to pass anything on to anyone that needs it. . There are no Plans for it, I have stolen Ideas off the Net by Watching You-tube Video's and looking at Photo's on a site called DIY Bandmill. There is still some refining to do on the Machine eg Blade Guard and Height Measuring of the Head, I am also after ideas for a Blade setting tool.

Here is some info on the Bandsaw

    Default Update.

I decided John needed more practice so I picked up a load of Budgeroo which the saw handled with ease - except that very last cut when the blade was getting a bit dull which is to be expected on Budgeroo - the board tapered down about 4mm over the 1200 length but all the rest were spot on!
The safety-nazis will be pleased to know the blade now has a guard on it - it's amazing what you can do with a few Landcruiser parts
I've got some video of it in action and when I work out how to do it, I'll put some of it on my website.

    I'm very impressed.

I think I need something like that to thickness down some slabs of C/town ironwood I want to use.
I make things, I just take a long time.
