Default Todays cutting - Blue gum burl

Just a few pics of the burl I cut up today. I had to cut the log off it first so that it would fit under my saw then it slabbed up very nicely. A dozen or more 50mm slabs with the widest being 1.6m x 1.5m.
It was a nice burl with good grain and colour and not too many gum pockets. My usual apologies for the poor quality phone camera.
    cheers

Great work, Stopper, it's always good to see how this stuff comes about. But you forgot the bit about the member's free giveaway

It was about 1.6m at the widest point. Each piece was good but as I got down through the main burl and into the log with burl on each side there was a bit of brown stain through the centre.

Nice looking burl there, looks very similar to Jarrah, IMO.
I like your setup up as well, bandsaw mill, bulldozer, crikeys, I am getting jealous
Oh, and the photos aren't too bad, although a little water on a cut slab may set it off
    Cheers
