Nah Pete, did the splits with my splitting saw - Sammy, 395xp terrific saw, she has done a fair few posts now and also added another string to my bow. Did a few with Harry the 372, but nothing really serious, but Sammy!!! Whoa!!! what a saw!!!!! Honestly I've turned over cutting splits in my head with the mill many times, tired it a few times and it just isn't easy to cut them as compared to the cs. If I had a laser line on the mill it might be easier/quicker, but the time it takes to line up the logs to get 'good' splits I've cut two already with the cs

There has been talk of doin 300 dia logs into 4 splits on the lucas, but that would only work if you have a whole whack of really nice even 300 logs, if they vary more than plus or minus an inch, then setting up for each is painfull as heck - much easier to rip 'em freehand

I've had a few names for saws too. Nothing strange about that: I don't think you would want to put them in front of your surname.

Bo Derek? For some thing that dribbles on itself, smells of fuel and has to be pushed into doing anything. No further clarification needed. Definitely time to come inside.

No, Bo Derek was lauded as the 'perfect 10' in the movie with Dudley Moore and I reckon the 10-30 is pretty bloody close to that

and FYI, dunno why it would smell like fuel???

Yes, I got the connection. Just reving you up. I guess the reason mine smells of fuel is I have only one eye and every time I fill Bo, Bill, George, anything but Sue, I manage to get it every where, except in the hole.
