There sits MM in his wood heap but, unlike a termite, he means no harm.
He just teases and then reveals the most marvelous of natures creations.
The teasing is undoubtedly cruel but the ecstasy of the revelation is such
a blessed relief and joy that he is always forgiven.

I have a coastal banksia that was cut off at ground level a year ago. Circa 40 cm diameter.
How deep would the roots go, and is it worthwhile digging it out to slice up, or not?

Wow, amazing colour. I would be very keen for some of that fiddle back if you'll be selling it?

Bother, spit and darn.
Always on the lookout for timber suitable for veneering. Doing a fair bit in camphor laurel right now. If you have anything similar pop up, please let me know. Looking for timber where the light/dark grain remains obvious from 25 feet away. Here is an example of what I seek, showing eight veneers in camphor laurel on a 900 X 900 mm coffee table top.
