Can't identify what type of decking timber I have...
Hi all,
First time poster, thanks for allowing me to ask for advice on your forum...
I have a timber deck that is half exposed to the sun and the rain, and other half not, because that part of the deck comes under the roof line of the deck,
The timber that is under the cover looks brown but has a clear coating over it. It is not the same type of material that a Kwila type table is made out of.
The timber that is exposed once looked like the timber that is under cover, but is now a light brown colour and very faded. I spilt someone on it the other day and when I used a scraper to get it off, I scratched into the timber and it went black.
I am thinking that i have to sand it and start again as i have not oiled it in the 2 years that i have lived here, but I have no idea what it is.
What info do you need to be able to help me identify what i have?
Look forward to your assistance, thanks in advance.
Surething.
