    is there any where i can get Hickory in Aust. need it for backing a bow..

    If i's the same hickory that comes from Pecan nuts it shouldn't be a problem. Very flexible and hard to break. I cut some 2 years ago from a pile of pecan nut trees. Not sure how you will go in
    WA though.
