I have got some pine that is stamped NZ 172 HT with IPPC down the left hand side. What does this mean?
Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing it was used in a shipping pallet made by these guys. (or a similar company)

Doesn't tell you much about it, but it's probably basic kiln dried radiata pine.
Cheers

Sounds like the following (copied from a Pack & Send newsletter ) :
"For those that export on a regular basis, you may be aware of the gradual international adoption of the 'ISPM 15' standard and the impact this has on how you package your export products.
Traditionally, exporters have relied on a variety of wooden packaging such as cases, crates, skids and pallets to transport their goods. Packaging such as this, is often manufactured from unprocessed raw wood which poses a risk to the recipient country in relation to the possible entry of pests and diseases contained in the wood.
To address this issue, countries around the globe are now adopting a standardised approach - 'ISPM 15', which involves either a heat treatment or fumigation process for unprocessed and raw wood packaging.
Once treated, an internationally recognised mark is displayed on the wooden packaging which allows for an uninterrupted entry into recipient port."
