I enjoyed reading his excerpt about his childhood in Stafford. I worked up there for a few years, and used to ride along Kedron Brook on my bicycle to work every morning. It wasn't the pastoral farmland of his youth, of course, but it still made me a bit nostalgic. What little of his furniture is available to see in images online is pretty fantastic.

Luke I meant to post some photos, but had not got around to it. These are the Silver Ash furniture items, made by the late Robert Dunlop, which I purchased in 1983. I also thought that the aluminium struts on the leather chair worked well and were not out of place. The mirror is separate to the chest of drawers. If you would like any more detailed photos let me know.
