    Default SHEOAK [ ALLOCOSUARINA FRASERIANA]

Thought I`d start a thread on our great looking Sheoak we have here in WA ,just pics of pieces as I mill them and cut them up only to show the variety of colour and grain that you can find ,every piece is a surprise and wonder.

    Thanks for posting.

Sheoak is one of my favourite timbers. Individual as, and tough as nails.

A fair proportion of that is Lace Sheoak.

I am in Port kennedy, but wouldn't mind a squizz, if okay

I was once asked to polish some trophies made of sheoke. It didn't need filler of any sort and was one of the easiest bits of French polishing I've done. I picked up a piece a few years back and it's waiting in the shed for inspiration.
    Cheers,
