Have heard this with a pretty high degree of confidence, so here's hoping. Seems to compete somewhat with the finger joiner however.....
ps - re the plans, apologies but I'll have to delay till next year at this stage- things have become rather busy, & I haven't had time to address that HTML idea any further."Clear, Ease Springs"

Stuart,
Hate to have to tell you, but I gave Triton a call regarding this and I quote:
"Absolutely not" as there are more than enough on the market as well as the cost to develop one would not be worth it.
As I am looking for a dovetail jig, you sort of got me hoping that Triton would produce one cheaper than the ones available.
Oh-well, Steve

Interesting, as the info about the possibility also came from Triton, so I am lead to believe.............
I won't hold my breath then!"Clear, Ease Springs"

It was Me. I got it from Triton.
The only thing that hasn't been released after hearing from the same source is the dust helmet. Which we've recently seen very nice working prototypes of. But has been in the works for a number of years. And the release date has been continually pushed back.
So I thinking that both will happen, just don't know when.
Watch this space.

Cheers Barry- knew the source, but didn't want to drop you in it!
One upgrade at a time- I'm still saving pennies for the helmet! (Cause I can't work out how to do decent dust extraction from a lathe, other than a fan & open door)."Clear, Ease Springs"

Just out of interest - talked with Triton about the Template guide (released 2 days ago), and asked about the dovetailer.
Got a big negative from them- no such animal, nor plans for one, which is the same as what Steve heard.

Just for interest, I heard the delays for the dust helmet were because they were having trouble extending the battery life. They were trying to get it to 8 hours.
The design is basic helmet with shield and fan and filters and ear protectors, as with other helmets.
Triton was aiming for/had promised a sub $200 price (e.g. $199). It will be interesting to see the final price when they sort out the battery problem.
