    Default History of Triton

I have just been updating the www.tritonwoodworkers.org.au website with some spares sheets of obsolete/updated products. I think I have gotten as much as I can source from Triton themselves.

There are still some holes in the list, so I'm hoping that there may be some other people out there who collect "junk" as I do, and may have some of the old equipment manuals etc in electronic format.

If you do, could you please check out the website listed above, head down to Triton Equipment, then click on Specs Spares Manuals Videos.

If you have anything I don't have here, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

This is also true for any photos of current or obsolete equipment.

    Much appreciated!

Stuart go and wash out your mouth for calling Triton stuff "junk". They may be obsolete but are still good.

I have some older manuals (MK3 for certain) but in the original form not electronic. Will they do? If so I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know.

As to the manuals, in many cases the hardcopy may be all that still exists, but it is going to be a big scanning job to convert them back to electronic!

    Stuart,

I have the following hard copy manuals that are not yet listed on your website:

Triton WC new series MK 3.

Sliding extension table ( the original one before the Maxi or Mini were issued )

Bevel Ripping guide for the MK3 ( the original one made of solid pressed steel hanging from the right side of WC )

    Bevel ripping guide series 2000.

Router & Jigsaw table ( again the original one for use with the MK3 before they issued the stand. )

Router & Jigsaw stand series 2000.

Series 2000 router fence ( upgrade to the original router table )

Triton Jig guide ( plan for building 7 jigs, primarily for the MK3 ).

If you are interested let me know and I can get them to Don for passing on to you and eventual return. No hurry for that but I would want them back for keepsake.

    Peter.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for the offer - I will take you up on that, as I am gathering from Triton that these are no longer available in any other form, and I'd like as complete a history of Triton as I can on the website, so the Mk3 stuff is important to that end!

Promise I won't hold onto them for very long - just long enough to scan and convert to PDF.

    Thanks heaps.

spotted this one on ebay the other week

I also used to own a mk3 before upgrading to a 2000. No idea how old it was. I got it in the late 80's and was very second hand then.

The Mk3 had a circle cutout 2" in the centre of the table top. Possibly it was for an early version of a router attachment, although the later style of router plate didn't line up. The manual also had a half dozen or so pages of jigs that could be made. Long before triton offered accesories. Also how to make a face plate sander using a metal cutoff wheel and gluing sandpaper on.

Unfortuanlty don't have either any more and no photos.

Very cool - thanks for the link! About the only familiar feature are the slots for the crosscut fence!
