Shepac Schmepac
Yeah well for what its worth, Iwasin the market for a band saw at the time of the projected release of the badge engineered Shepac.
Went to see a Shepac and no amount of engineering would turn it into the Carbatec heavy duty 5310 That I bought for whatthe reported price was going to be. Im rapt with the carbatec and now am greatfull the shepac basedsaw was notavailable

T31BD Price
Hi there,
If the 3 in 1 sander is due very soon, would anybody be able to give me an idea of price. This is the main item I have been waiting for as I can see it being useful in the garage.
Regards

My chisels are still desperately waiting for the Triton sharpener.....only problem is I have another delivery expected in Feb, that means I probably won't get to see the shed for a while

Yes, it has
I've been to two Bunnings and a Mega Mitre 10 this morning. (SWMBO's working so I had the morning to myself, and it's raining - double bonus
)
Just out curiousity, and since Otober has been and gone, I asked about the new 3-in-1 Spindle Belt Disc ander (T31BD) , and none seems to have heard of it:confused:
So, it is out there?
If so who has bought one?
May we have a review or at least some comments please?

Think they are available from Bunnies by special order only. Not sure, but have an idea that Carbatec will be carrying them?
As to what they are like, I have not played with one, but speaking to those that were giving the prototype a workout, they were very impressed."Clear, Ease Springs"

Dissolutioned
Further to my earlier rant, While I bought the Carbec bandsaw and am still in love, seeing that Carbatec were designated service agents for Triton in my area, Brisbane, I ordered from them, a the depth limiter assembly for their router - usual story of spring loaded part and a not clean enough workshop - the man told me not to hold my breath, even though I was prepared to pay air freight, but not a dicky bird in bloody months. Ive been in business for more years than I care to admit; and the one thing I have learnt, is that the buck always stops at the top - the very top. And I've heard nothing from there either.
Gentlemen I fear you are witnessing the death throws of a bloody good idea.

Triton sanders for Derek's sharpening system?
....so has anyone bought either the 3 in 1 or the belt/disc, or the sharpener? Huh? $700 seems a lot for the 3'n'1.

See the thread here for a bit more info http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ad.php?t=43335
I have one of the belt & disk sanders, but rather than write another review, Dean has done a pretty comprehensive on on his website (www.onlinetoolreviews.com)
Check the Carbatec 3 in 1 and their price ($799) - it's pretty much the same tool from what I can gather, so here's a $100 discount.
The sharpener is mid Feb - can't wait - and neither can my chisels!"Clear, Ease Springs"
