RTA200 Router Table
I have the older model RTA200 Router table and the older model BJA001 Biscuit Joiner.
I want to buy a Triton Router to fit in it but I have been told that while I can fit the Triton Router I will not be able to "change router bits above the table" as you can with the new router table, and in fact one guy told me if you don't remove the dust collector you have to remove the router from the table to change bits.
I don't want to upgrade to the new router table as I have not heard to many good things about it.
Does anyone have the RTA200 router table with a Triton Router fitted that can confirm/deny the above ?
Thanks

2000 table
Gazza
The table mentioned is a pain to change cutter with any router. Try slipping the two plastic clips and lifting off the top, make your change and put it back. I have a Makita 3600br and I usually change underneath the table or on occasions lift off the top as described.
Regards Mike.

Good News
Gazza,
As you'll see from my post I am a Triton Demonstrator but this isn't coming from me as such rather as someone who also owns a 2000 Router Table. Actually I have 2 of them both with a Triton under each of them and you can easily mount the Triton Router to them, bit change is as per normal WITHOUT having to remove the top. I hope this helps....

"as per normal"
Apologies to Gazza, I would like Woody to to define "as per normal" with regard the changing of cutters with the 2000 routertable. I believe the table was made long before the Triton Router was thought of. I have had my 2000 table over ten years and have always cursed the process for changing cutters, perhaps I am missing something. I have a Makita 3600BR mounted in the table and it is fitted to the black sliding plate with the four screws that hold the plastic ring on the bottom of a Makita router. I found the original arrangement unsatisfactory. You may enlighten me by the forum or by PM. Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards Mike

another great product by bastards inc
sitting at the computer desk this evening and reading this post while remounting my makita 3600br router into the mounting plate, i had a flash of brilliance!!!!
I thought "what if i remove the screws from the subbase and use them to mount the router into the mounting plate through either the existing holes or by drilling new ones?"
then i wont need to use the infuriating clamp system, right??
Well i disassembled teh mounting plate, which i had just put back together again and took the subbase screws off the router and tried to line up the existing holes. not only are the holes in the wrong place for this but they are so close to where i need to drill new ones it just doesnt look like it will work.
another great product by bastards inc......

THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER
Well, I can answer my own question now, I brought a Triton Router this afternoon, just finished mounting it in my RTA200 table and guess what ?
It works perfectly !!!
The router collet sticks completely through the router table allowing complete and easy access for changing bits.
