Default I need a slippery table

    Hi all,

I've searched for the answer but can't find it, what's best to put on a Triton table to make it more slippery.

I was going to give it a coat of wax but thought the dust would stick to it. I guess a silicone spray would do the trick?

And before you mention aluminium/melamine tops........i'mgunnadothatoneday.

Talcom powder, not a permanent solution but a good temporary one.

Ah good idea, I hadn't considered talc.

And my hands will end up as smooth as a baby's botttom.

Do not use silicone - affects the finishing of wood

I use U-beaut trad wax rubbed in and polished off. You could also use paraffin wax

Use to use our Forum Sponsors Traditional Wax on my WC2000. Kept the top beautiful and slippery.

    Thanks all,

I might try a puff of talc first, that's easy. Failing that, I'll throw on some wax.

Remember - polish on, polish off. You don't want to leave a noticeable coating on the table top or it WILL get into the surface of the wood & affect glue-ups as well as paint finishes.
