The state of Triton?
Hello all.
Got my Triton stuff out over the weekend and i'm wondering what is the state of Triton is at the moment.
Who is the manufacturing/parent company now?
Are they still held in reasonably high regard by users or has the quality of equipment coming through suffered in the interim.
Any other infomation, general or otherwise, would be most welcome.

G'Day "The Enderman", Carba-tec in Australia started to sell the Triton tools in March this year and were to start selling spare parts in about May. If you look on there website CARBA-TEC - Woodworking Tools and Woodworking Machines you can find a local store for your state OR if you go onto the Triton UK website Triton Power Tools you can contact them there. I hope that helps as I'm not sure which country you're in. Cheers, Crowie

The link to the Triton UK site is redundant, as they no longer supply anything related to Triton (having once been the leading UK supplier, but badly let down by the company). There are spare parts sources in the UK, however, including Sharpend Services (Woodworking Centre), DIY Tools and toolsparesonline. HTH

Good to know that they are still a major going concern and spares will be available.

have been trying to locate a Series2000 saw cradle and the only site that seems to have what I want is toolsonline in the UK. BUT they don't post to Australia
So now I have to source another way of getting one.

Is this what you need?
SAW SLIDE CHASSIS [WCA400] - £41.35 : Tools Spares Online, Spare parts for tools
They, too, only seem to deal with the UK but I have contacted them to see if they will send to Oz.
If not I may be able to help - send me a direct email and we may work something out.

This item is available ex stock Carba-Tec Brisbane and quite possibly in Melbourne and Adelaide. It is a stocked accessory that allows fitment of the height winder kit to the older model series 2000, and MK3 workcentres.
This item can be ordered and posted if you can't collect from the stores.

So does Carbatec have more stock (incl. spares) than is listed in the online catalogue? There is no sign of the MOF001 router, nor the powered respirator.
Other than the 9 accessories listed, there is no clue that any kind of spare parts are available. e.g. if you buy the TRA router, can you get a replacement switch/speed controller when they fail? Or can you get individual WC2000 parts?

G'Day John G, The questions you ask are good but I have no idea, I suspect that they'd have to stock all the past and present Triton spare parts & accessories if they are "FOR REAL" about being the Australian stockist & supplier of the "ORANGE WORKSHOP TOOLS" that are so loved by so many woodworkers [or at least I'd bloody well hope so and it's not another stuffup like GMC]. The best I could suggest is to sent Carbtec an email directly off there website. Contact Us : CARBA-TEC
Cheers, Crowie

Triton parts.
There is a guy selling a lot of Triton stuff on Ebay Australia.
Things normally end up going for fair prices ( ie a bit less than retail including shipping).
I have bought some stuff of them and they are easy to deal with.
Carbatec will come with full warranty though, if you need it.
