Triton Bargains at Ballarat
The Ballarat Woodworkers Expo being held 12th & 13th April at Wendouree (Ballarat Suburb) in the Wendouree Sports Centre Hall Norman Street has heaps of Triton bargains. I purchased a Powered Respirated for $192.00 and a 5-in-1 Spin Saw outfit for $56.60. I reckon I saved about $375.00 off the normal retails. Noticed the Triton Planer was $69. Orders are taken at the Expo and delivery/pick up in Ballarat in about a weeks time. Stuart from Stu's Shed is there demonstrating and there are piles of burls, timber and lots of other bargains. I'm a very happy chappie !!! Robert

Robbie - I too am in Ballarat and noticed similar Triton specials in the Dahlsens catalogue. Were your deals through Dahlsens?
See my post about the Triton steelcutter in the Metalwork Forum.

Triton Bargains
No - Not Dahlsens, even though they have some good bargains the specials are only available at the Expo at the Wendouree Sports Centre and the delivery is through G. Gay & Co. They seem to have the full range of Triton products all heavily reduced not just the few listed in Dahlsens catalogue. Robert..

And the prices are better than the Dahlsens catalogue.
Steel Cutter is below $141 (not giving an exact price so some clown doesn't run to Bunnies to get a price match)
Superjaws below $115 (that's the new model)
etc
The prices are pretty special - I had to buy some stuff myself - I can't get it that cheap! Not meant to be an advert - I was only there demonstrating. The prices are very cool!"Clear, Ease Springs"

I know some of the other prices, so if you are really wanting something and want to know if the trip would be worth your while, email me. I can't guarantee a fast reply, but I'll try!

Robert and Stu - thanks for the tips. I bought a sharpener and a superjaws today at the Ballarat show. Great prices. Didn't get a steelcutter in the end as it just seemed to have a few restrictions for my intended use.
The guy from Gays hardware said the prices would be available in their store for the rest of the week. I might go back for a second superjaws yet!

I just hope that these prices are available (and that there are still things left) when the WWW Show gets to Adelaide in October........

It was only 700 km - just how close does a bargain have to be?

You could always try ringing the Home Hardware in Wendouree who is the local dealer (and who's stand it was). They might be willing to take your money over the phone, and arrange for the delivery. Do it before Wednesday though, and ask for Peter. (He'll probably curse me if he can't, but a sale is a sale.....)
I have no idea if that will work, but a phone call is a lot cheaper than a long drive!"Clear, Ease Springs"

Triton Bargains still availabe
Just called into G. Gay & Co Howitt Street to see what else they had on special. Found out that the Triton Bargains are available until early Friday morning. Might go for a grinder set up which is super cheap providing I can convince her in doors who must be obeyed that it is necessary. Aberdeen - it might be worth your while phoning Peter at G. Gay & Co Home Hardware 801 Howitt Street Wendouree on (03) 5339 5033 to see what can be arranged. Robert.

If its the Triton sharpener, suggest all her scissors and kitchen knives (or yours) could be sharpened on it!
