Triton MK3 (Improved) on kerb-side collection
I couldn't believe it. Yesterday, right here in Oyster Bay, I spotted a Triton MK3 (Improved) being chucked out. I had the bosses car, so I raced back home and grabbed mine, grabbed the boss and collected this quite nice Triton MK3 just as the rain started. Whilst not complete, it certainly looks to be pretty good. I have a model 2000, so I can make certain assumptions about how it goes together and what is missing. It has the following:
* Protractor.
* Biscuit joiner attachment.
* Circular saw mounting plate.
* Stand (with wheels).
* Top plate.
I assume it requires:
* Fence.
* Riving knife.
* Several plastic knobs, bits and bobs.
* Some kind of locating devices, so the top plate sits securely in the frame.
I have questions:
* Can I buy parts for it? Yeah, I know Triton's gone (for now).
* Can I obtain a photocopy of the instruction book/parts list?
I actually like some aspects of the MK3 in preference to the 2000. It seems to be more sturdily constructed. Am I alone in this?

Let me have an e-mail address and I'll send what documents I've got. Please allow for time difference, I'm just off to bed!

There is a splitter integral with the guard. The pins that secure the table are just bent steel with a couple of "nips" out of them to hold it all secure. You could make some.
Eagle has apparently bought the parts stock so if he sells it on ebay as he's said you might pick up some bits there.
I sold mine back to my neighbour, but I bought 2 sets of pins so if you need them I can talk to him about it.
Good luck. Great score.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.
