Quick clue.
Funky Chicken was half right in his reasoning. I included the blue handled hacksaw to exclude his specific answer - but it is SOOOO close.

such a cunning plan you have, that's why you have the two at the bottom upside down
Ok well funky has established that it is the jeweller's saw. the reason could be that the blade tensioner is at the handle end at the top instead of at blade level like the fret saw and not at the front like the hack saw.Cheers

Cameron is the jewellers saw the only one that can turn the blade in relation to the frame without releasing tension on the blade. cheers john c
