Mick. Excellent work on those chisel handles and brass ferules. Kudos to Ray & his son for the high quality work that's gone into manufacturing the chisel blades.

Thanks for the pictures Mick, Nice to see a full set of firmers and paring chisels together. The skews are my favourite.
I'm filing out the ferrule slots by hand, and it's painfully slow, The dremel/jigsaw idea is a good one
I'm not gluing the handles, it's up to the end user to decide if they want to do that, I've heard that just a squirt with hairspray works for socket chisels. Might work for this style as well?

Hi Paul,
Timber for the handles is She Oak, they were part & parcel with the whole deal and thanks for the appreciation but my bit was only small.
These are heirloom chisels that will be working until they be handed on to a family member a long time in the future!!!!!!
Cheers

Thanks Mick
I can see that now, although the She oak is a little darker than I would normally expect and it was difficult to see the characteristic medullary rays in the pix. I participated in the buy in a much smaller waywith the firmer chisels, but provided my own timber, which was why I didn't pick the "standard" issue. I remember now that there was a little controversy over that matter.
Again a really fabulous product. My hat off to Ray and Josh on the final effect.
I hope that others might show off their sets too as I don't think I will tire of seeing these magnificent tools any time soon.
Regards

Any updates?

I was trying to get them posted before Easter, but other things have delayed the process. I should get a bit of spare time over the Easter weekend to get some more packing done.
You will receive a PM with the tracking details when each set is mailed out.

I am away again next week for work, after that I'm in the clear...
Thanks for being patient.

Can you update us on how many paring chisels have been shipped and how many still need to be shipped?
Thank you,
