    Default Stanley #51

A friend gave me a Stanley #51 on Saturday. I haven't had time to play with it yet, just gave it a spray with G-15 and a dust off. Over the next week or so I'll give it a sharpen and try some cuts.

The frog has been welded and a few plugs put in but it looks like the faces are flat and it should work as advertised.

Very desirable Groggy, and very hard to come by - lucky you.
The frogs on these seem to be their most troublesome aspect - if there is a problem it is usually with the frog.
It will be interesting to hear your feedback on how it performs.
In the meantime good on you - you lucky sausage.

Nice friend. They got anything else to get rid of? I'm more than happy to help relieve them of their burden.

Well done. Let us know how you go.
