Saw Vices and Vises
I'm don't know that this needed a new thread, but ... here's a lot of good links to home-made saw vices.
And vises.

Wow. I think someone has had a little too much computer time! Just kidding. I wasn't familiar with a couple of those, so now the're in my favorites. Thanks.

I realised today that I forgot to say that, having used the chisel morticer, I had an idea.
It has a rear fence ... a clamp ... and it moves left and right by handwheel.
Hmmmm.
Might become a good saw sharpening station ... ?

That Matthew Cianci has a blog ...
The Saw Blog
One interesting thing I thought was his use of a piece of wood sitting on the saw blade marking the bevel/fleam angle, rather than a mark on the saw vice or the bench.
Also good fun ... The Big Rip: http://www.wkfinetools.com/wWorking/.../bigRip-01.asp

Eclipse jig
"This is a well thought out saw filing guide, little used by Eclipse.
Triangular file can be set in five different angles for rip/ crosscut etc.
Fitted with a new file, 3 good corners to use.
Can be set square across the blade for rip or angled either way for crosscut.
It has a screwed depth adjuster for an even depth."
