aluminium table for table saw?
Hi all,
No replies to my previous post, so let me try a different question.
Has any Scheppach table saw users had any problems with the aluminium table of the TS4010 and TS2500 (e.g. table not flat, warping with age, or other)?
Bye,
Johan

Okay no idea on those tables as quoted Johan but with my sliding table on the 10HB Ive found its bowed in the centre which causes some probs with accuracy which is why Ive taken the blighter off and will when I get the time and inclination get a larger one made up of cast steel
Ahem... at least this keeps it up the top for others to see!Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Correctly designed, the ally should warp/bow less that poorly seasoned cast iron will.
Just ask Dingo there.
I have an ally top on my POS table saw, and it's as flat as I would expect from the cheap hunk of junk (actually very flat) and works fine.
Only concerns with something more upscale in price would be that ally is soft and will dent/wear faster than iron ever will.
I'd still go for an iron top if it's available though. Simply a weight thing.
