Vernon,
The best thing that ever happened to you was that Triton dying.
I hated my triton in the end and i just love my new TS.

As promised ... more details on the saw. It arrived yesterday afternoon express delivery from Roma courtesy of Michael (Journeyman Mick). Here are a couple of pics.
1. The saw on the back of Michael's truck, all wrapped up and ready to be unloaded.
2. The saw hanging in the air, on a home made lifting frame. Michael estimated that it was about 1000kg, I was putting it at about 800kg. Once we got the rigging right, the lifting an lowering seemed quite effortless.
3. The saw assembled. Luckily we got it together before it started to get too dark (no power or lights in the shed yet). I'm glad I had someone there to show me how it all fitted together.
I still need to clean it up a bit, align it and sort out the electrics. But I'm one very happy camper ... and as a bonus, got to put a face to a name and get acquainted with a really nice bloke.Cheers.
Vernon.

Holy Smokes...
1) That ute is obviously a 1-tonner...
2) You're stuffed now! You're going to have to relearn how to cut all of your timber without adding and subtracting all those little Triton "Fudges"... You're going to be undercutting and overcutting for months! Was it really worth it?...
3) And what about your hearing? Before you know it, you'll be able to hear the Wife again!! I mean, was it really, really worth it!..
4) I don't see any folding legs, or a wheel kit...
5) I see you're playing it safe by parking it right in the middle of the shed - wise move.
6) I hope you didn't just straight-swap him for the Triton?!? Surely you didn't! What - he didn't "top you up"!?! You've been Done! (Anyway, you live and you learn...)
Awesome... (hope you've got the right electricity for it...)

Obviously. I think it may have been a tad overloaded, but it have airbag suspension.
Yeah, I'm thinking of doing a really shoddy setup/alignment job on it, so that I don't have to retrain.
I still have my selective hearing, so it shouldn't be a problem.
It does actually have fold down wheels, but it is still a bugger to move.
It sits to one side of the shed, effectively in one "bay". but for long cuts I can extend the stop right over into the other side.
Mmmm ... I'm pretty sure I've traded up ... the proof will be in the pudding.
No, unfortunately I don't yet have the electricity thing sorted out. That's the next step.Cheers.
Vernon.
