That's a fair summary. However, I am not sure that is what I am seeing here. The blades are parallel (as far as I can tell), but cannot be made coplanar.

Hi Mark
when you say "blades", do you mean the saw plate or the tooth line?regards from Alberta, Canada

My two bob's worth is that if the main blade is not aligned correctly within the table, Huston, we have a problem. Yes, you can adjust the rip fence to the main blade, but you will double the problem on the LHS of the slider.
As I said earlier, I'd be asking for a call-out from one of the Minimax techs. Let him or her take the table apart and check the alignment issue!

The tooth line. But a good question.
I spoke to SCM today. They are sending someone out to look at all the issues. If I had been at home they would have come today, so I can't fault them for keenness. Unfortunately though, the next mutually agreeable date is a week tomorrow.

A quick update: All my problems have been resolved. I'm not sure if this was a carbon based failure (i.e. me) or the machine yet as I have not had a chance to talk Gary from SCM yet to determine the problem.
There was a cancellation so Gary was available sooner to help me than was previously scheduled.
So two thumbs up for SCM. Awesome work guys!

I have been using a CU 300 classic combination machine for about 9 years without any major issues. I find the machine has very good ajustibility for all functions and like others have said start with the slider first squaring that up to the blade as well as setting the measurement arm for accuracy. I use a CMT fine cut blade and have the scorer (80mm) recently sharpened. It is a very fiddly process adjusting the scorer and with mine it has slots in the top to use allen keys to lock, move sideways and move up/down. I do a lot of melamine work and find once adjusted it runs well. I often take off the slider and re-attach without any adjustments from original setup. I also would recommend you fit a power feeder if you plan to to the spindle moulder as it makes a big improvement in cutting out snipe and is much safer. In my many years of use I have done about 99% of my cutting on the slider and have made several squaring attachment frames that also allow the production of large raised panels by just running by the saw blade set at about a 25 degree tilt.
