    Default newbies simple questions

Hi All, I'm just a newbie here and would like a couple of things clarified.

Firstly, ive seen some saw tables as being "left tilt". for example the Carba-Tec 10" HD Left Tilt Saw Bench (CTH-110L). What are the pro's V cons of the left tilt?.

Secondly, i hear the term "Induction" motor used on tools.. Pardon my ignorance but what is an induction motor? ....LOL

from what i know about saw with left tilting blade, when you're cutting material with one, you can have the good side face up.on a right tilting blade, when you're cutting with the good side down, the face or long point can get caught between the bottom of the fence and table top. to avoid this, you take into account the material thickness, add it, and have good side up.

    Default Dressing to the left.

You dont need a left tilt to do this.
If your fence is double sided just move it to the other side of the blade.
