Start Switch
Hi everyone
The on/off switch on my table saw has broken (the stop flap is broken).
Anyway before I travel over to Carbatec to try and buy a new one, I was wondering if anyone knows of another place I could try.
I would like to get one with a large stop button which I can hit with my leg to stop the saw.
I live in Perth WA.

Safety Power Tool Switch - Rockler Woodworking Tools
I needed one for a thicknesser and couldn't find the same model (I did in UK and NZ)
This was also an alternative.

The Switch.
Hi Legin,
I think you could try Jaycar or Dick Smith, & most likely take the old one with you.
Any Electrical Firm could help out also.
In Vic. we have Middendorps, quite a big firm.
I would not pay anything like $340 for a switch, as I think there would have to be an alternative.Regards,
issatree.

I bought a few of these NVR switches from Axminster in the UK.
Price was good, about $18 + shipping. You have to wire it up your self.

I really like the look of the switch from rockler.
Does anyone know if they are suitable for 240v as the have 110v in the US?
That stop button looks great.
Only thing is, how sturdy is it. If only they are available here I could go have a look at them.

Blackwoods
Hi
Try Blackwoods, they would have a switch like that. Any of the big electricial suppliers in Perth would have something similar, do a ring around. Have seen heaps of on/off switches like that in mining or just plain big red knobs where you push to turn off and twist and pull to reset.
