Table for table saw
Hi everyone, I am new here so here goes.
I have an old 3 HP, big home made saw that was used to rip stakes for oyster leases.
I re-jigged it with a fence and fitted 350mm TC blades on the 30mm (approx) arbor.
I now want advice on the possibility of putting a cast iron top, from a mass produced supplier with fences etc so that I have the accuracy to do more quality work.
Is this a possibility? or should I scrap the much loved old beast - and get something like a Hafco SB-12, it has many features I am after and at a cost of $847 is reasonable?
Well thanks and hope to hear from you all soon!
Neil

Hi and thanks for your reply!
I have since bought a new(old) 12" Hafco cabinet types saw so I will be dismantling the old beast.
Thanks though
