Can anyone please inform me on the Hafco 8" jointer? I know the price but what's the quality like? Also, other than sheer width does the 8" have any major advantage over a 6" model?

Chas, I have a Grizzly 8 inch jointer, and one of the main reasons I got it is because of bed length. If yo go to do things that are of any length, it's worth a million. I never heard of your brand. E-mail me if I can help you any futher - Gordo.

Hafco stands for Hare and Forbes Co. located in Sydney and Brisbane. Their forte is large
industrial machines but they also dabble in smaller stuff. They also sell second hand (again mostly industrial size) stuff through
their catalogue.Chas
