Don't see why not Shannon, it doesn't actually say on the tin itself that it's specifically for Cast Iron, in fact it doesn't say what type of surface to use it on, so I'd say it'd be OK for Aluminium surfaces

Thanks - I'll have to keep that one in mind. Tables that drag give me the irrits and I am sick of using wax.

I use it on the base of my electric planer which is aluminium and my table saw fence which is also aluminium with good results and no problems
